Justin Kawcak, MBA, CLU®, ChFC®, CFP®

Justin Kawcak is the owner and founder of Altitude Financial Services.  He and his wife, Ashley, established Altitude Financial Services in 2021. Justin began his career in the financial services industry in 2012 and joined LPL Financial in January 2019. LPL Financial continues to be a key resource for Altitude Financial Services.  Helping people work towards their financial goals and objects, with their best interest in mind, is at the heart of Justin's professional focus.

A graduate of Colorado Mesa University, Justin earned a bachelor's degree in business with a dual emphasis in management and marketing in 2010 and his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2012. He started his career in financial services immediately upon receiving his MBA. Justin is a Craig, CO native with a long family history in Northwest Colorado. He loves working and living in an area where his roots run deep.  Justin grew-up in a family oil change business founded on honesty and integrity and on a family farm based on work ethic and attention to detail. These experiences have led to a solid foundation for his ethical and moral values. 

As a natural leader, Justin has served in numerous leadership capacities, including local chapter president for the Colorado Mesa University Future Business Leaders of American – Phi Beta Lambda (FBLA-PBL), Colorado State President for FBLA-PBL, and was elected Student Body President his final year of attending Colorado Mesa University.  Within the Craig community, Justin has served as Chapter President for the Kiwanis Club of Craig, Board Chair for the Bear River Young Life Golf Tournament, and Board Chair for the Moffat County Local Marketing District.  Numerous times Justin has been asked to deliver speeches, leadership development workshops, and keynote addresses to groups throughout the state of Colorado.  He has even been a wedding officiate on several occasions and delivered the May 2012 commencement address to the graduates of Colorado Mesa University.

Competing in state and nationally sanctioned FBAL-PBL academic competitions, Justin has brought home numerous state awards, three national awards, and was recognized as the distinguished Who's Who recipient for Colorado FBLA-PBL in 2011.  Always striving to learn and improve, Justin received his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation in 2019 and Charted Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation in 2020, both from the American College of Financial Services.  In 2022, Mr. Kawcak earned the globally recognized credential of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^TM professional or CFP® professional.  The distinction is awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. to professionals who successfully complete the rigorous CFP® Board-Registered Education Program and pass the CFP® Certification Examination.

Justin and his wife, Ashley, met through their affiliation with Colorado Mesa University FBLA-PBL while attending college and have been married since 2015.  They are blessed with one son, John Jason (JJ), and one daughter, Emily Elizabeth.  Justin and Ashley love being involved in, and giving back to, their communities and will always call Northwest Colorado home.  The Kiwanis Club of Craig, Moffat County United Way, Bear River Young Life, and Moffat County Local Marketing District are all groups Justin has been actively involved in.  In his free time, Justin enjoys golfing, travel, the outdoors, fishing, bird hunting, and time with family and friends.  As a trusted community resource, Justin's mission is to make a positive impact on the life of every person he comes across, while helping people to manage against risk, strive to build wealth, and to provide clients with the tools and resources necessary to pursue their financial goals and objectives.
